The Roundtables are a series of learning sessions where Retailers and Brands can sit down for a meal with industry leaders and content specialists and work through battle stories and best practices in the world of Tech, Marketing, Business Operations, and People & Culture management. Each session will include a light meal and a 45-minute learning session. Brunch/Lunch is included for Roundtable attendees!

Julian Golden is the Head of Business Development at Bonsai, a new mobile app that uses AI technology and world-class content to create engaged audiences and motivate actions for retail and experience merchants. Golden’s experiences span across a number of verticals including social media strategy, e-mail marketing, brand partnerships and design. Julian is also the co-founder and creative director for streetwear label INTRST and is a graduate of McGill University where he studied Economics and Marketing.

BOB KRONBAUER, Founder and Editor in Chief, Vancouver Is Awesome
Bob Kronbauer is the publisher of Vancouver Is Awesome, a mainstream digital publication which receives more than 1.5 million monthly pageviews. He founded it in 2008 and bootstrapped it for ten years, building up one of the largest social media followings and online audiences in B.C.. In 2017 he sold the publication to Glacier Media Inc, a company which owns 100+ newspapers and digital publications in Western Canada. Staying on board to continue heading up the publication he founded, Bob brought a unique entrepreneurial skill set to a large organization, working to grow V.I.A. as well as working with other properties within Glacier. Prior to founding Vancouver Is Awesome he worked as a creative director, spending years working in California for skateboard companies such as Girl and Chocolate, where he headed up Crailtap.com and designed t-shirts and board graphics.

After 25 years spent running skateboard shops, buying footwear and hardgoods, editing skateboard magazines, managing touring bands, and representing some of the most iconic brands in skateboarding, Stefan holds a uniquely qualified perspective of our industry.
Beginning in 1989 as a partner with SK8 Inc. in Winnipeg, a shop that was a pioneer of skate, music, and streetwear retail in Canada, Stefan spent 10 years running the iconic shop before hitting the road as a tour manager for Propagandhi at the turn of the millennium, before landing in Vancouver as a sales representative with Supra Distribution. In 2006, taking his expanded knowledge of the industry east, he became the editor of SBC Skateboard Magazine.
In 2008, Stefan returned to the prairies, spending time with both The Source in Calgary and Kings in Winnipeg as a buyer and retail/marketing adviser. Currently, Stefan is pushing a decade of sales work with Vans, which began as an independent representative with his own agency in Calgary, and now finds him working in-house for the brand in Vancouver, where he established a Vans office here to serve the BC region.
Stefan’s unique trajectory within the industry has provided him with a variety of perspectives from which to best help retailers navigate the action sports buying world.
